Two more people have been arrested related to a theft at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. They both remain in custody, the force said.
The arrests come after a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was among the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been released.
Police detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault near the location. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.
Authorities were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of people injured by a noxious substance thought to be an irritant spray.
The attack - an event that police said was isolated and not considered an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility briefly.
